Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Office of the District Attorney – Biological Environmental & Animal Safety Team (BEAST) are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the owner or individual who allegedly abused a dog found in Port Jefferson Station this month.
A one- to three-year-old male Yorkshire Terrier mix was found on Belle Terre Road on May 14 at approximately 11 a.m. The dog was emaciated with its mouth tightly rubber-banded shut when found. The dog is currently at Brookhaven Animal Shelter.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
