A Bellport man was arrested for allegedly killing a woman whose body was found at a Yaphank gas station.
On May 16, Suffolk County police found Juliann Bachmann injured and unresponsive, in a vehicle at the Speedway gas station, located at 80A Horseblock Road, at approximately 7:25 a.m. Bachmann, 30, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue, where she was pronounced dead.
Following a preliminary investigation, detectives believe the cause of death to be criminal.
Later that day at 8:13 p.m., police arrested Michael McHenry for Bachmann’s murder. McHenry, 40, of Bellport, was charged with Murder in the Second Degree. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 17.
