Suffolk County Police last night cited the manager of a deli during an SLA Inspection.
In response to a community complaint, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with the New York State Liquor Authority (SLA), Suffolk County Department of Health, Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and the Town of Huntington Ordinance Inspector, conducted an SLA inspection at Las Lajas Deli, located at 156 Depot Road, on September 11 at 9:55 p.m.
During the inspection, numerous violations were observed. The Fire Marshal issued three violations and one criminal summons. The manager, Carla Rodriguez-Romero, 45, of Huntington Station, was additionally cited for one ABC Law violation and 12 Health Code violations.
The Fire Marshal and the Board of Health will be conducting further investigations into the establishment.
