Nassau County Legislators Carrié Solages (D-Valley Stream) and Olena Nicks (D-Uniondale) joined the New Greater Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and the greater West Hempstead and Lakeview communities to celebrate the grand opening of The Neighborhood Coffee in Lakeview on September 12.
“Woodfield Road has long been the town center for the West Hempstead and Lakeview communities, and the ingenuity and passion behind businesses like The Neighborhood Coffee will help build a new and exciting community hub,” Solages said. “I wish the owners nothing but success in their new venture — it is my hope that the community will rally behind our local businesses and that our partners in government will provide grants and resources to launch a comprehensive downtown revitalization plan for downtown Lakeview.”
