A woman is dead after her vehicle crashed into another vehicle and went into an in-ground pool in Hewlett Bay Park.
On August 21 at 9:29 a.m., Allison Rahmani, 40, of Hewlett Bay Park, was driving a 2023 GMC in the driveway of a residence on Elinor Road when she lost control of her vehicle, striking a tree, a parked and unoccupied 2006 Honda and subsequently becoming immersed in an in-ground pool. She was removed from the vehicle before police arrived. Responding Nassau County officers initiated life-saving measures for Rahmani before being transported to a local area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
