A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized after being struck by a car while he was riding his bicycle.
On May 1, Nassau County police officers from the Eighth Precinct responded to Farmers Avenue in the vicinity of Stewart Avenue in Bethpage for a vehicular accident. Upon arrival, it was determined that the boy was riding his bicycle and was struck by a 2022 Tesla being operated by a 35-year-old male.
The juvenile was airlifted by a Nassau County Police Department Helicopter to a hospital for evaluation and treatment, where he is listed in stable condition. The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
