Suffolk County Police today arrested a taxi driver in Brentwood for allegedly operating a motor vehicle with 37 license suspensions.
While on directed traffic enforcement of high -rash locations, Third Precinct Police Officers Peter Leonello and Anthony Reyes-Torres pulled over a 2016 Toyota Camry, operating as a taxi, for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign on Suffolk Avenue. A further check determined the driver working for Crown Cars Service, Dwight Douglas, allegedly had 37 license suspensions.
Douglas, 51, of Brentwood, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and was issued several vehicle and traffic law violations. He will be arraigned at a later date.
