A South Farmingdale man has been arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash.
On May 28 at 10:35 p.m., Thomas Luckscheiter was driving a 2023 Dodge RAM at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Main Street in South Farmingdale. While allegedly operating the vehicle in an aggressive manner, he allegedly activated flashing red and blue lights while using multiple sirens. As a result, he allegedly struck a 2009 Toyota Prius and then fled the scene without identifying himself. A short time later, he was located and placed under arrest without incident.
Police charged Luckscheiter, 56, with Criminal Impersonation in the First Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Incident and Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return on June 15 at First District Court in Hempstead.
