A man from Queens County has died after succumbing from his injries he sustained in a crash in North Hills.
According to Nassau County detectives, a 53-year-old male was operating a 2011 Mack Tractor Trailer westbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 34 when he rear-ended a 2023 Honda Civic operated by a 32-year-old male. The Honda had two passengers, a 33-year-old and Nuriddin Soliev, a 31-year-old male. The operator of the tractor trailer had no injuries.
All three occupants of the Honda were transported by Nassau County Police Department Ambulances to local hospitals for treatment. The operator of the Honda and the 33-year-old passenger were treated for minor injuries. Soliev, of Glendale, died from his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
