Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood early this morning.
On June 15, Richard Jennings was in the eastbound lane of eastbound Suffolk Avenue, near Fulton Street, when he was struck by a 2017 Ford Escape, driven by Britney Barbaron Rojas, at approximately 2:20 a.m.
The pedestrian, Richard Jennings, 80, of Brentwood, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Barbaron Rojas, 23, of Islip Terrace, was treated for minor injuries.
The Ford was impounded for a safety check.
