Nassau County police are searching for a vehicle that hit a pedestrian crossing the street in Roslyn Heights and then drove off.
According to detectives, a 72-year-old male pedestrian was crossing Mineola Avenue in the vicinity of Woodward Street on August 25, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene. The pedestrian sustained serious physical injuries and was transported to a local area hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
