Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in a Center Moriches parking lot.
On May 6, Silverio Saldana-Trejo was walking in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, located at 231 Wading River Road, when a 2022 Ford F150, driven by Antonio Ferrara, turned into the gas station and struck Saldana-Trejo at approximately 4:40 a.m.
Saldana-Trejo, 60, Center Moriches was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Ferrara, 60, of Granbury, Texas, was not injured.
The vehicle impounded for a safety check.
