Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car in Selden

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Selden last night.  

On May 7, a man was walking in front of 761 Middle Country Road, when he was struck by a westbound 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML350, driven by Clarissa Macioce, at 9:34 p.m. 

The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Stony  Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Macioce, 50, of St. James, was not injured.  

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
