Nassau County police identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car last month in Woodbury.
On June 8 at 9:15 p.m., a male pedestrian, 34, was struck by a 2005 Honda being operated by a 23-year-old female traveling east on Jericho Turnpike in the vicinity of Village Lane. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. On June 15, the pedestrian passed away.
The pedestrian has been identified as David Ramos Acosta of Queens.
The driver remained at the scene and no further injuries were reported.
