A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Hempstead and Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
On May 15 at 11:00 a.m., a 76-year-old man was struck by a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Jerusalem Avenue and Henry Street. The pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver, a 47-year-old woman, remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
