Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood yesterday morning.
On April 15, Melody Quinones was in the roadway on Washington Avenue when she was struck by a 2010 Volkswagen, driven by Brandon Nunez Cumi, traveling southbound at approximately 5:10 a.m.
Quinones, 21, of Brentwood, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead. Nunez Cumi, 20, of Brentwood, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
