One person was seriously hurt after a car crashed into another on the Meadowbrook State Parkway.
On May 24 at approximately 2:48 a.m., troopers from New York State Police responded to the Meadowbrook State Parkway northbound in the area of Exit M5 in the town of Hempstead for reports of a two-car motor vehicle collision. A subsequent investigation revealed the operator of a 2025 Toyota Camry, later identified as Deondre L. Clark, 35, of Westbury, was allegedly driving at an unsafe speed when he struck the rear end of a 2015 Honda Pilot, which had the driver and three passengers inside the vehicle.
One of the passengers was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. All others were evaluated for minor non-life-threatening injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation and the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is asking anyone with information or who witnessed this incident to call 631-766-3300.
