A Bay Shore man was killed after hitting a utility pole.
Owen McKeown was driving a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek eastbound on Orinoco Drive at approximately 4:05 a.m. when his vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled onto a commercial property, located at 655 Orinoco Drive.
McKeown, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance. The Subaru was impounded for a safety check.
