Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist this morning in Centereach.
On July 3, Kevin Zambrano was operating a Honda VT1 motorcycle eastbound on Middle Country Road, when he drove through a red light at Eastwood Boulevard and struck a northbound 2021 Nissan Sentra that was passing through the intersection with a green light at 12 a.m.
Zambrano, 25, of Shirley, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Nissan, Corinne Eslinger, 19, of Lake Grove, was not injured.
The vehicle and motorcycle were impounded for safety checks.
