Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Medford this morning.
Edison Aguilar was operating a 2008 Honda motorcycle northbound on Route 112 on August 29 when the motorcycle struck a southbound 2016 Toyota Matrix that was attempting to turn left at the intersection with Southaven Avenue at 6:53 a.m.
Aguilara, 20, of Patchogue, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota, Maria Lobato, 44, of Medford, and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-852-8552.
