A motorcyclist was injured after colliding with another vehicle in Hempstead.
On August 1 at 8:29 p.m., a 23-year-old man was riding a 2007 black Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Front Street when a 27-year-old man driving a 2024 Toyota Corolla made a left turn onto Front Street from Courtenay Road, causing a collision. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
