Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Oakdale.
Michael Schmid was operating a 2021 Dodge Ram southbound on Riverview Court on August 21 at 1:22 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, struck several trees, and was ejected from the vehicle.
Schmid, 51, of Oakdale, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to contact the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
