Suffolk County Police today arrested a man for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Middle Island.
Noah Slusser was driving a 2017 Ford Taurus southbound on Wilson Drive on August 27 when his vehicle allegedly struck a 2025 Toyota parked on the street in front of 26 Wilson Drive at approximately 12:05 a.m.
One occupant of the Toyota, James Baldassarri, 44, of Holtsville, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. The other occupant, Crystal Springman, 27, of Middle Island, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Slusser, 21, of Medford, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 27.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
