Suffolk County Police today arrested a woman for allegedly driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Lindenhurst early this morning.
Carlos Henao was operating a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Montauk Highway on August 5 at 1:42 a.m. when he attempted to pass two westbound vehicles. The motorcycle struck the rear of a 2019 Dodge Ram and a 2023 Honda CRV that had moved to the right lane before Henao was ejected.
Henao, 33, of Massapequa, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda, Brieonna McGinn, 28, of Massapequa, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. She was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 5.
The vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555.
