A Holtsville man has died after he was hit by another driver who was allegedly intoxicated.
Noah Slusser was driving a 2017 Ford Taurus southbound on Wilson Drive on August 27 when his vehicle allegedly struck a 2025 Toyota parked on the street in front of 26 Wilson Drive at approximately 12:05 a.m.
One of the Toyota’s occupants, James Baldassarri, 44, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. The other occupant, Crystal Springman, 27, of Middle Island, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
On August 29, Balsassari succumbed to his injuries.
Slusser, 21, of 58 Gray Ave., Medford, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
