An e-scooter rider has died after colliding with another vehicle in Glen Cove.
On August 19 at 7:22 p.m., a twenty-three-year-old male operating an e-scooter, while traveling westbound, collided with a 2023 Jeep Wrangler being operated by a 19-year-old female in the vicinity of Dosoris Way and Elliot Place. The operator of the e-scooter, David Anthony De Jesus of Roslyn, was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff. No other injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
