Suffolk County Police last night arrested a man for allegedly driving while ability impaired by drugs following a crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Holbrook.
Robert Krumm was operating a 2017 Suzuki motorcycle southbound on Nicolls Road, between Greenbelt Parkway and Route 27, when he collided with a southbound 2023 Tesla at approximately on August 4 11:15 p.m.
Krumm, 24, of Holtsville, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Tesla, Bertie Simeon, was not injured.
Simeon, 37, of Huntington Station, was arrested and charged with DWAI/Drugs. He was held overnight and arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on August 5.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
