A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Westbury.
On August 8 at 2:28 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to Old Country Road in the vicinity of Salisbury Park Drive for an auto accident. A 26-year-old male was operating a 2016 Jeep when he attempted to make a left-hand turn into a parking lot and struck a 2007 Harley-Davidson being operated by a 44-year-old male, who was traveling eastbound on Old Country Road. The motorcyclist sustained a severe arm injury.
Officers applied a tourniquet and transported the aided to a local area hospital. The operator of the Jeep remained at the scene.
