Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that seriously injured a 10-year old boy on an e-bike in Lake Ronkonkoma.
Osman Siddique was driving a 2020 Porche Macan southbound on Patchogue-Holbrook Road on May 21, making a right turn onto Richard Place, when the vehicle struck a boy operating a 2025 e-bike northbound in the southbound shoulder of the service lane, at approximately 8:30 p.m. The boy was thrown from the e bike.
The e-bike operator, Mason Mereroa, of Holbrook, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Siddique, 27, of Ronkonkoma, was not injured.
The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
